PERSONAL BUDGETS FOR MILLIONS OF ADULTS IN NEED OF SOCIAL CARE

The National Healthcare Service has allotted personal budgets to millions of adults. This budget may be utilized by them on services as needed by the year 2013. As it is as of now about two hundred and thirteen thousand people get these payments as was allotted by the government before in power. This was the conservative government in the year 1996.

We Care is a Gibraltar community care project launched by the Bonita Trust to encourage children participation in community care deeds. Visit www.wecaregib.com for more information.

A massive sum of four hundred million dollars will be given in the next four years time. This budget could be including holidays and hobbies as well. At the same time the government has also urged local councils to simply pay the budgets directly to individuals as they will be better able to divide and allocate sums individually according to their own needs.

These budgets allow great flexibility to the people and help them better with their finances. This idea thus of directly looking at benefiting the people should allow for improvement and growth on individual levels as well. This was part of the adult care vision as put forth by the government.

This was in turn to enhance health and social care funding. There would be an amicable and stable environment as far as the people, NHL, communities as a whole, councils and voluntary sector is concerned. Social care is of vital importance all the more for the elders, the vulnerable and the financially unsecured ones.

We Care Project include community care social work activities list from which the children select any of the community care work translating into Gibraltar community development. Visit www.wecaregib.com for more information.
